Serial # puts it at 1950.
Don't see alot of AGH models on here or anywhere for that matter. Great runner with original paint. Bore & Stroke is 3.5"x4" ...torque monster.
this particular engine was a craigslist find. it has always been kept indoors and never been abused. No smoke, no leaks. Got lucky on this one. Please share your AGH pics as well. Thanks Wisconsin AGH engine (craigslist find!)...what a beauty (1)

i just got a AGH today.. all apart,,, well the top end off of it.. dang! it's a big bastid!!
i thought my AEN was big. took 3 men and boy to lift it onto the back of my pickup.. lol serial puts it at 1940 has a wico mod C mag and a really odd muffler that can only make it LOUDER!.. it's a cast iron funnel shape that is part of the intake/exhaust manifold...
has a IN/OUT transmission on it.. massive spark plug, the cylinder walls look fine piston looks good.. valves look ok.. don't know why it was taken apart..
but i'm gona have a blast diving into it to see why...
enjoys yours.. and man yours is in nice shape.. nice find..

Here is a picture of my AGND 3 1/2 x 4. What is the difference of the AGH and AGND? It is like new and I gave $35 for it at a farm sale.

AGND is a lot newer design. Mag drive is different, AGND has exhaust directly on jug, AGH has a combined intake/exhaust manifold.

its also a lot more common and in less demand. 35 bucks is a great price for any working engine. the magneto is worth more than that alone. looks a bit rusty you may want to get it out of the weather before it is ruined.

Yup, that's my engine. Just brought it home today.
the story that goes with the engine is interesting. Seems that it was bought by a municipality in 1950 or so to run some sort of mobile light plant and just sat around until an employee bought it then sat in his garage until the last owner purchased it and it sat some more.
starts on first pull and runs like a champ.

just to set the record straight
the prior owner had nothing to do with the false ownership claim and was not to pleased with the claim for obvious reasons.

I do not have a photo yet, but I just purchased a engine that looks similar to yours. since my engine has the information plate unreadable I'm unsure what it was. I will place a pic when I have them.
