What did you do to get this working? Who did you reach out to?
I enrolled around June 1 and have yet to see my Gold status. Initially it was rejected because something about email address already exists. And then Amex manually submitted the request again for me. The status says Enrolled on the Amex side. Contacted both Hilton and Amex - Hilton sees nothing, not even a duplicate account under my email. Amex says the my Hilton number was already submitted and it's in progress. The Transfer Points tile shows nothing linked between Amex and Hilton. Was able to link it for points transfers manually, but I don't think that did anything.

Have you read this thread or not? I mean it sounds like post #2 is exactly your situation.

Post #2 says Hilton fixed it right then and there. Can you explain how that fits the situation? Seems like Hilton was able to see that there was a problem in their case.
I did contact Hilton and they could not see anything from Amex, and they even checked my email for duplicate accounts and found nothing. Hilton did nothing except tell me to talk to Amex.
I ended up calling Amex again and they escalated it further because they said they saw I was enrolled without a Hilton number, but they couldn't enter the Hilton number again because it was "in process".

Interesting that my initial submission online was rejected within minutes. Then I called the CS (waited for 18 minutes). The agent was able to enroll me instantaneously. The gold status also showed up in my Hilton account immediately.

Argh. That's what I was afraid of - have done multiple online chat sessions with AMEX already. I have been trying to enroll in the complimentary upgrade to Gold status for my HHonors account since April 26. I have encountered so many problems trying to do this with numerous attempts calling AMEX and Hilton to no resolutions. AMEX has, in essence, escalated my technical issue tickets multiple times to no avail. According to AMEX, their system is showing "Enrolled" for the complimentary gold upgrade. However, there is no HH number associated with the enrollment and they apparently cannot enter it either. They are claiming that it is a problem with the Hilton database. They cannot even cancel the current non-HH associated enrollment either. I have been on 60-90 minutes calls with AMEX already. I was even on a 90 min three way call with AMEX and Hilton reps. I was even on a three way call with AMEX and Hilton where the AMEX person called ANOTHER AMEX and Hilton reps. Yes, it became a FIVE way call among myself, 2x AMEX reps, and 2x Hilton reps. All to no resolution.

Just a datapoint > Enrolled beginning of June. Never activated on hilton side. Chatted with Amex on site and they said it was enrolled with a different Hilton #. I know I input the correct number and selected I already had a hilton number. The agent was able to quickly register my correct number to the offer. Said it would take 72 hours.

Called in to AMEX and was enrolled with immediate effect showing on hilton.com.
