Like the other games, there are a few Legendary Pokémon to be found within the Galar region. These Pokémon are the most powerful ones around and are difficult to capture

Eternatus

Location: Energy Plant

During the game's story, Chairman Rose will awaken Eternatus and use its power to bring the Darkest Day. Leon, as Champion, is trying to take it on but is struggling so it ends up being up to you to battle Eternatus, the mysterious Legendary Pokémon. This, however, cannot be captured

Zacian / Zamazenta

Location: Energy Plant

In the post-game, you will be hunting down Sordard and Shielbert and face their claims that Sonia's book about the history of Zacian and Zamazenta are inaccurate and they're descendants of the true heroes of the Galar region. In doing so, they'll attack the Legendary Pokémon of the other game causing you to have to fight it. Once defeated, the other Legendary will appear and will challenge you to a battle. They come with the item attached that lets them change the form. You get Zacian in Pokémon Sword and Zamazenta in Pokémon Shield

After completing the league and becoming Champion, when you go to the Battle Tower, you will find a member of League Staff with a Type: Null. She will say she needs a trainer to take care of it and offers it to you. She also gives you all the Memory items for when it evolves.

Calyrex

Location: Crown Shrine

Getting Calyrex, Gastrier and Spectrier is a long process. To do it, you need to follow Calyrex's story and help it be remembered and build the Reins of Unity. First you need to get Carrot Seeds for Dynite Ore in Freezington. As the story progresses, you'll get the choice of whether to plant it in the Icy area or in the Old Cemetry. If you select the Ice area you'll get Glastrier and if you select the Cemetry you get Spectrier. After you battle the horses in Freezington, it'll run off. Calyrex suggests going to its old shrine with the carrot to lure it.
When there, Calyrex will re-tame its old steed and say that it will allow itself to be captured if you managed to defeat it in its full form. You will face off against Calyrex and catch it in its full form. Once caught, you can unfuse it to get the horse.

You need to be Champion to catch Calyrex.

As part of the "The Terrible Titans... Lurking Locked Away" story, you'll be able to hunt down the three titans. You'll find Rock Peak Ruins in the south-east of the Giant's Bed. If you have your lead Pokémon hold an everstone, the door will open to the temple. Highlight all the lights on the floor to encounter Regirock. You'll need 7 badges to catch it.

Galarian Articuno can be found flying around The Crown Tundra. When you reach it, it'll stop and start making mirages of itself until you interact with the correct one

Around the Frigid Sea, Roaring-Sea Caves and nearby areas, you'll be able to find Cobalion's footprints. There are many dotted around the area and they do repopulate at random positions. Once you have 50, then Cobalion will appear in Frigid Sea
